Collinite, worth trying?

From what I've read, Collinite's greatest asset seems to be durability as it claims to last up to a year. I tend not to use those "once-a-year" products as they sometime sacrafice looks for durability. I've heard good things about Collinite so I thought it might be worth a try, but wanted to get some opinions first.
 
I read Accord's post and very tempted to try em as well on my beater car since I don't have the luxury to wash em during weekdays (working out of town :I) ANy comments about #915 Marque D' Elegance or #476s Super Doublecoat Auto Wax?

DoubleCoat #476 may not offer the clarity of some other Carnauba waxes but definitely win hands-down on longevity and produces the tightest water beads I've ever seen. It can be difficult to remove, if you allow it to haze. Apply it to a panel, then immediately wipe off. :jump

Jose, thanks. As far as look are concerned, what would you say Collinite 476 looks closest to? Blitz, #16, etc.?
 
I've used Collinite for years. Now I mainly use it as a top coat in winter. I maintain my car so much durability isn't really an issue in the summer. Looks wise, there is a lot of better waxes, but I've never found anything match it's durability.

I'd say it's a cross between #16 and #26. Not quite as clear or bright as #16 and without #26's paint-darkening effect. And, since you mentioned Blitz, you'll not have problems with staining trim or dust issues.

I know Collinite has a reputation for being the longest lasting and best protecting carnauba wax, but it is still carnauba. So my question is, can its durability and protection match that of quality synthetics like Zaino or AIO?

My own experience shows the synthetics to have an edge in durability and protection and are my preference for the long winter months when waxing isn't practical.

I TOTALLY disagree. Collinites 845 is the most awesome clear shine I've seen. Take a look :wait
