collinite on...glass?

Just go in my tub of fleet wax (same as 476s) and it says it can be used on glass....now, i'm all about chucking the rain-x for something that lasts several months, but has anyone tried it?

I use 845IW on my glass and it beads like crazy.

I have NOT however tried it on the windshield... I'm afraid of streaking or some other marking from the wipers.

How's that work for you, any streaking from the windshield whipers, visability problems, etc?

i have no problems. most of the time i don't use the wipers due to beading. :bigups

When you do use your wipers, do you notice if the wiper blades to leave fine lines of water along the wiper path? How does it wear? When I used to use RainX, it was great at first, but as it started wearing out, I noticed fine water lines left in the path of the wiper blade and would get really bad at night with the glare from oncoming traffic.

So far, I've only used AIO and Quickshine on my sunroof and rear passenger windows and rear glass (front passenger glass came with a coating that works perfectly). The water beads at speed from the front windshield and is very clear. I would like more beading, but not if results in streaking when the product is worn.

I've not waxed my glass for months we just went thru 10/12 days of rain still beading like mad only need wipers in the worst downpours ...no streaks or residue

How would Rain-X compare to Collinite 845 or 476S? I love Rain-X but haven't used Collinite on the glass yet, so I'm interested in finding out.

Excellent question, I'm curious as well. I've personally never had any problems with Rain-X though, but it would be great to use one product for two purposes.

yeah ive used 845 on my windshield, and aio and sg not one bit of streaking from the blades, maybe becuase if you seal and wax your windshield you dont need no stinking blades.

I use Rain Clear and I love it! It comes with a cleaner which I apply with my PC. I put it on my truck when I first got it 1 year ago this July and I'm just starting to notice it needs to be redone, but still repels water like crazy!
