Collinite 855

I was out changing some 1" Vinyl inserts that have shrunk in the last 14 years. While finishing those my eyes focused on the front cargo hatch insert and how nasty it looked. I had not ordered any replacement material for that and it appeared to be 1/2" or 3/4". I have been using 855 on the vehicles and it works really well but not to sure about what I was contemplating. The results definately speak for themselves with the after on the left. I did absolutely no prep and used a terry cloth for application and removal. I do have to mention that I did try 855 on a piece that has been sunburned over 14 years and there was no noticeable difference in appearance. The new 1" pieces I replaced received a coat of 845 which I may also apply on these pieces after they sit for at least 12 hours. I do not remember any posts dedicated to 855 and many people do not know it even exists.

855 Consistency at 80 degrees is like Dawn Dish Washing liquid
Smell, If your a gear head like me not a problem. If you like blossoms, banana, coconut you may not like it.
Ease of use, extremely easy, rub it in then wipe it off.
Finish, very little if any shine which I really like
Price, very affordable and like other Collinite products it goes a long way.
Cleaning after application, a damp cloth

How well would it work preventing mildew on vinyl boat upholstery? I was not familiar of this product until now. If it`s anything like 845 I will be seriously impressed!

I`d be more interested as to what it does on dirty, dull, weather-beaten black/grey vinyl trim; say, that of a Chevy Avalanche truck or Honda Element that has acres and acres (OK, maybe not that much, but a lot of square footage) of exterior vinyl trim that needs attention and a lot of trim dressing.

I know it cleaned the RV trim as pictured above, I tried the sun damaged trim with no success. I also tried 855 on the rear step trim on the wife`s van with no success. It did clean the heck out of my leather steering wheel and did great on that and the spare tire cover on the RV.

Collinite 855 is my go to protectant for modern `coated` `leather` interiors....

And if the condition is not bad to begin with, it can also be used as an `AIO` of sorts for the leather - to clean and protect in 1 step.

Just to note that their website specifically states that it is NOT recommended for suede, fabric, buck, unsealed leather or exterior vinyl trim

What I have done at least on the RV white vinyl trim. Applied 855 to clean, add conditioners and it also applies wax ( how much I do not know). After that part is done I top 855 with 845 or 925. That sequence has worked well for me.
