I'm sorry if this has already been asked but I did a search :). Anywho I recieved some collinite 845 in the mail on friday and after a vigorous shaking it still looks very runny. Almost the consistency of water . Is this normal?

Thanks in advance

Yes, its actually a little runny. Nothing to be concerned about... I actually tried it for the first time the other day. It was sort of like a very "wet" paste, spread extremely easily.

I actually never tried a non-paste wax before... I was pleasantly surprised.

CelicaLover- Sounds like you shook it up as thoroughly as you're supposed to :xyxthumbs Yeah, it turns liquid; some people quit shaking too soon and end up with a thicker gel-type consistency.

It is usually rather thick at room temp but stays runny if the weather is hot. When cooler it is very thick. If it was a hot day then runny is normal.

If you shake it properly, it becomes very thin.

A little goes a long way .... spread it very thin and it becomes very economical and easier to remove.

Just started to use this product after trying many others. Very well pleased. Used this over Danase Wet Glaze and it looks great, even on a White Buick. Think I`ll start do the White Corvette the same way.:2thumbs:

I noticed the same consistency as well. It was about 75F on the day that I tried it.

It also seemed like the applicator never went dry! A little went a very log way.

shake the crap out of it, let it sit in the sun for a few minutes to heat up, shake again till its liquid thin. Apply thin, thin coats.

The stuff stinks, but it works...............horrible container and cap.

enjoy the beading and protection.

works great..............

Has anyone transfered there 845 into a different container? As reeeko99 mentioned it really is a horrible bottle for application.

Thanks again.

I transfer mine out of the oe container also. I cant stand that bottle they use. I just use a simple squeeze bottle w/ tip to dispense it. Much much easier.
