I will be detailing an '03 Cobra, and I was wondering if there is anything specific to be aware of while cleaning the motor?

Not a Cobra owner but a Mustang owner and Ford guy.



Mainly make sure you avoid getting those coil over plugs wet, they are exspensive. Other than that just the normal stuff you would cover up or avoid.:xyxthumbs
 
Nothing different than any other car. If you hose it off, be careful of the battery, air box, coils, and computer. Other than that i wouldn't worry. Enjoy!

Well the computer isn't under the hood, so no worries there. If he has a cold air intake just be caureful for the filter and MAF. I always take my vacuum and convert it to a blower to blow away all the water and it works awesome. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I spray my engine off with degreaser and hose water every couple of months and I have never had any problems (and mine modded too).



That's cool that you are concerned about it though, shows you really take pride and concern in your work :up

I said computer but meant fuse box (next to the windshield washer fluid reservoir). You think I would know the computer is in the passanger kick panel since I put a SCT chip in there:rolleyes:

wait how do u put a cold air intake on a cobra? doesnt it already have a supercharger ? or maybe im confusing this with turbo's
