Coating storage

Some people put it in the refrigerator to give it a slightly longer work time. I`m not sure that`s optimum for long term storage. I keep my stuff in the spare room at 70-75 degrees.

I store mine in the house, with other LSP`s and polishes. But I have been keeping them in canning jars lately, hoping that the lack of air will allow them to remain `fresh` longer, since I don`t use them too often.

Great Idea on the Canning Jars. I used to put my bottle of CanCoat in a gallon zip lock bag and then roll up tight, to get as much air out as possible. It easily stored for 2years. I`ll be trying my first coating next month when the temperatures drop down some. If any leftovers I may confiscate one of the Wives jars.

Argon from a welding buddy was something I used to do when first got into coating. They fill a ballon up and made a paper funnel over coating jar let air out of ballon slowly and the hope was is sank into it. I stopped that after I got used to coatings now I throw them in freezer

I kept reading your post about the freezer and it made sense to me. So I have it a try. I put on my CQuartz Lite, my OPT Gloss Coat, Adams wheel coating, and Shine Supply Bealock Pro. I let them on for a while last evening. Lite, Gloss Coat, and Adams didn’t seem affected by the freezer. However Beadlock Pro from Shine Supply started to look slushy.....that shouldn’t have happened correct? And no it was not open

Seems odd make contact shine supply on that one. I don’t know if the freezer works or not but My opti clear coat restorer has on directions to do that.
