CMA yellow pads

I just got my PC and tested it out with the pads i got from CMA.

I only got the white and grey pads from CMA because my paint isn't in that bad of shape (light swirl marks)

After working the paint with SMR using the white pad, i found i had to make a couple of passes to get out the stubborn scratches (and even then i had some minor scratches left over)

My question is, was i using the wrong pad, the wrong speed on my PC (4 to 5) or will i need to get the yellow pad as well?

I didn't get the yellow pad because it looks like it's meant for oxidised paint (too much cutting power)

Seeing i'm new to the PC, maybe it's just a matter of speed.

Any ideas?

Thanks, MotorHead

One thing that you have to realize is this, a PC will not remove scratches on most paint finishes. The only true way to remove scratches is to use a high speed buffer {example Blk & Decker} variable speed.
