CMA Pads

Does anyone know if CMA is still having a problem with the 6.5 pads? I need to order some more because all of the pads I ordered a while back are falling apart. Thanks

I stopped using the CMA pads due to this. In my case, the customer service at CMA was very good and they were quick to replace them. Unfortunately, the replacements suffered from the delamination issue as well so I just started using Gorilla glue to reinforce the backing to the pad.

I guess what I'm getting at is to contact CMA directly about the issue. They can tell you if they changed anything (they may want to replace your pads). If not purchase the pads elsewhere.

No problems with the Geeks pads....holding up fine so far....but call CMA if your pads failed ..they will fix you up with new ones...also DO ask if the problem has been corrected...I have a few and use just on a rotary...and no problem...I like the design of them ..would like to use on a PC but read they fail on a PC ...

I have had thses pads for a while now but just opened a brand new white pad the other day and the backing is already coming off. I like the pads but cant see buying more if this problem hasn't been resolved. I will try calling today.

I can't figure out why CMA can't get their act together on the backing material?

They seem to be the only one's having problems with the material delaminating. :angry

It's frustrating, because they are the only ones that sell the 'green German' foam pads (which I like and use a lot).

I don't care for the 'other' green foam sold by LC at all.

I just got off the phone with CMA and asked if the problem was resolved. The gentlman asked me if I had black or blue writing on the back of my pads. I told him black and he said return them and they will send me new pads. Does anyone have blue writing on their CMA pads?

Because I can never keep this straight--one of the greens is less aggressive than the LC white, and the other is more, which is which?

I sent 5 back and they replaced them for free. I have not tired the new ones out but it looks like the same type of glue is used on these also.

AFAIK, the greens are between the orange and white pads. Check the Lake Country site, as I think they make most of the pads?

The green sold by AutoGeek is between White and Gray. I know those by Danase are per LC application chart (between orange and white).
