Clearkote's Leather/Vinyl/Rubber dressing not suitable for exterior, IME

I've tried this product 3 separate times on my exterior trim and vinyl convertible top.

It looks great, but it does not hold up to water. In each instance, the product has washed off and left residue on my paint.

There are other products that look just as good and don't wash off. That makes this product not useful, to me.

Mosca,

Not sure how you feel about applying the Klasse twins to exterior trim but it sure is the answer for me. Say goodbye to running and staining and hello to a nice rich gloss that lasts :up

How's 303 perform on the convertible top in the elements?

Yep, works all along my windshield cowl and along my side windows lower trim. I also had put it along the plastic window framing of my old Maxima: it was finally the answer to no more fading to the point spots turned white. I used to drive myself nuts with the trim on that car. It lasts real long too! :up

I might not AIO the trim, but I'd think about SGing it.

303 hold up really well, Bill, and I guess we'd expect that coming from a marine product. Actually most products hold up to the rain pretty nicely. There's not much for a vinyl protectant to do, that's one reason I'm disappointed in the Clearkote.

I only use it on the tires. Never even tried it on anything else. Really lasts a long time on the tires even after a lot of rain. I don't know why it wouldn't work well on trim, but honestly, I almost never dress trim unless it looks really bad because most products I have tried run after it rains.
