I have a client who has just purchased a new 2010 S550. He would like me to bring the car to have clear shield installed on the front end. Since this is a new car, I have yet to do any paint correction. It only needs minor work, thanks to light dealer prep. I normally just suggest the shield to people and then they go get it done themselves. In this case, he doesn't want to seal over any paint imperfections and he wants me to handle to the entire job.
Should I go ahead and correct the paint where the shield is going to be installed prior to getting the installing of the shield? What products should I avoid that might adversely affect the adhesion of the shield?
Any brand recommendations or avoidance for paint protection film? I realize it more about the installer then the actual product.
