Clear Film

Dec. 22nd I picked up my new MB. I could not wait to get home and start detailing it. Mb suggests to use their car care products formulated by Meguiars. I used their paint protection and was not overly impressed with the results. Meguiars says it very similar to #20 polymer sealant. I then made a decision to use a sealant(Klasse), which was reccomended by people at this forum and which was sold at the MB dealer where I bought my car. I did one coat of Klasse AIO and one coat of Klasse SG (wow is all I can say) The shine, yes even on white and the slickness of the paint was amazing, not to mention the ease of application and removal, even the SG, waited 20 min. and removed it. I used a super thin coat of SG, it did not leave any chalky residue in the trim or moldings:up :) :) :) :) :) Klasse has to be the best wax/sealant I have used in my eight years of detailing. Hopefully it holds up good and I dont have any problems ill keep you guys posted thanks to everyone here.

C240, congratulations! I'd love to see some pics if you have any.

On a related note, I believe I was able to get rid of the Klasse hazing (at least temporarily) by applying and removing another coat of SG a little differently than I had in the past. I think the key was to NOT use a damp MF to aid in removal. Although I didn't see any haze, I think the real test will come next weekend when I do a carwash. I had always been a firm believer in foam applicators, but today I applied the SG with a wrung damp terry applicator and I just couldn't believe how thin I was able to get the coats. Even when dry, the SG was hardly noticeable. Thin coats are what allowed me to buff without water. So far, no haze. C240, I don't mean to snatch this thread away from you, but I didn't want to start a whole new thread to talk about this. :)

good job intermezzo. Klasse is awesome! You shoulda seen the water bead off my hood yesterday in the lousy boston weather :up

I just bought a digital camera, should have the camera by early next week i will probably put a second coat of SG and post pics for you guys next week

Can multiple coats of Klasse SG be layered onto the car in one day, or does it take a day or twelve hours to cure? How many layers can be layered in a day with SG?

Yes you can layer 2 or 3 coats in one day. Many of us have done this with great success including myself. However, it is probably a better idea to just apply one coat a day and to allow the previous coat to cure for 24 hours. Laters.

Just got the digi cam here are the pics this is a week after Klasse AIO and SG
