Clear bra'ing the entire car

I know some clear bra places will do this, i,e., higher end. And I plan on buying a new car soon - maybe black.

If you have a brand new car, esp. a dark colored one, and want to keep it new from the start instead of all the constant high end maintance and paranoia that can happen from sratches, env., etc. I wonder if it's a good investment in that it's more maintance free (depending on the bra brand).

I know theres no personal interaction that way, but I wonder if it's a smart idea, and cost is no issue.

Has anyone done this and what are your opinions?

Thanks

I believe Deanski mentioned Armor Glove doing almost the entire SUV of a NY area newsbroadcaster. It's quite costly. Also, the clear bra itself can get scratches. I'm not sure if the popular plastic polishes here remedy that problem. Sure is better than in the paint. The ( although expensive) 3m Scotchcal clear bra material is still intended as a sacrificial barrier.
