Clear bra polishing

For those of you who have worked on vehicles with clear bra's, did you have any luck polishing out defects and if so what products and procedure did you use?

I have a car to detail next week and the clear bra was all over the front and the rear of the vehicle and it was all swirled up from washing just like the paint.

Thanks in advance.

I have a clear bra on my TL that's about 4 yrs old, but never detailed with swirls. I'd try an AIO by hand to see if it will come off. I've tried a PC and Menz IP to remove fine scratches, but I'd use it on a slow speed.

I guess it depends on what material the film is. I got the thick 3M film on mine.

I have used Meg's PlatiX, cleaner wax, and 205 on clear film. All three worked well but if I had to pick one it would be 205 on a finishing pad. Just be sure to work with very little pressure on the machine whatever you choose. They haze much easier than paint. Also, it works better to work the product for less time than you would on paint. When the material heats up it tends to distort.

One you are happy with the correction you can wax the film just the same as you would the rest of the car.
