I tried to do a search but came up with no results.

Has anyone tried the e bay clear bra's ? What was there experiences with them and how do they compare to the 3M Clear bra's.

Would it be safe to use one or would you guys reccomend spending the extra $120.00 to get a 3M kit ??

I was looking at these ones.

eBay Seller: xtremecity: Parts Accessories, DVD, HD DVD Blu-ray items on eBay Motors

Wasn't too sure if I am allowed to post up a link, but I figured that would be the best way to get some feedback.

Never thought about buying a clear bra unless it's 3M material.

You can try buying from Ebay, but then you'll need to find a installer if you're worried about doing it yourself.

As for the cheaper clear bra.. you might run into problems with yellow coloring, or the film might be too thin, and any damage can go right through the film and scuff the paint.

If you do go the ebay route... let us know, because I like to know how it holds up. Until then, nothing will replace my 3M clear bra.

I had a long talk to the guy who does clear bras for my friends and my car. Basically there are only two major makers of clear bra material in the US. 3M and Venture. In the past they traded blows on film quality - 3M had a good film then Venture outdid that, 3M counters etc. Both use pretty similar films now so you will not notice a difference. 3M just purchased Venture but they still produce seperate product lines since some of their stuff do not overlap.

There are lots of people entering the clear film market - lots of tint manufacturers and others as it is a lucrative market. He told me so far their films are sub-par and still got a ways to go to catch up to 3M and Venture.

So pretty much I'd stay away unless it's a 3M or Ventureshield product.

\r\n\r\nI have a kit from that seller on my car. It\'s the second kit installed on my car, and saved me a ton in bodywork. My car was bumped in a parking lot, and there was no damage to the paint or bumper. I only knew it was bumped b/c the film wrinkled. Also while driving on the highway the car in front of me ran over a semi truck tire tread and threw it into my front bumper. The film protected it perfectly. The film was ruined but there was absolutely no damage to the bumper. The kit cost me $40 and I installed it myself, so I wasn\'t too upset to have to replace it. I can only imagine how upset I would have been if it cost me $650 to have it installed.'
