cleaning wax from crevices

I have a very dark blue car with a lot of seams. No matter how hard I try to be careful, I always get some wax in the crevices (usually Blitx wax). I previously used a soft toothbrush and QD to clean out the cracks but noticed on my wifes black minivan that I was causing scratches  . Any advice? I've heard that S-100 doesn't cause trim to go white, how about in the cracks? Thanks.

Well, pretty much any product that you have to apply will get suck in those little crevices. I have found that the best way to get it out is to just use the corner of a moist MF towel with a little QD or water.

It usually works pretty well, but you have to keep at it... at least you arent scaratching your paint. :)

I've never had problems w/ S100 staining trim. I actually ran it over my tailgate handle on purpose and it didn't stain it.

For trim I've always used a cut off paintbrush. Before washing I'll note where wax is and as I was I'll get some soapy water on the paintbrush and carfully scrubt he window molding, trim, etc. I use very light strokes. If you run it over the paint you'll cause scratching so you just have to try not to do that.

Try using an orange stick (wooden manicure stick) to ease the wax or dirt out. They are good for getting between trim and painted surfaces.

Wax residue in the crevices was one of the main reasons I switched to Zaino. The Zaino residue is negligible. I never have to clean it out of the cracks. As a matter of fact, letting it build up in the hard to get at areas is probably just that much more protection.

It also doesn't matter if you get it on the plastic trim or chrome either. The only places you have to avoid are any rough, unfinished areas.
