Cleaning up the family rides

Vacation, spring break? What does that mean? For my wife and daughter it means going down to FL to hang out with my family. For me it means a day of detailing my dads rides.

Both are white, one is just a bit larger.

My goal was to clean up the paint on each and apply some great protection. There would be no extreme paint correction here. I am on vacation you know.....

Both cars got the same:

ONR wash-I tought my dad how to use ONR and gave him what I had left of the gallon, since I prefer QEW.

Clay with zaino clay and Z6 as a lube.

ZPC green CCS pad PC6

2x of ZFX'd Z2pro

Z8

He already had some Z-16 on hand and just applied some last week so we just let them go.

First up is his 72 vette. As usual these cars are a work in progress. He had a new GM crate 383 installed last year, thats why it has the BB hood. The front of the car was repainted at the time that the new hood was installed. I guess wetsanding is not done at the place where he had it painted as the OP is horrible. The owner of this place told me that all corvettes have OP..... I asked him if the painter they use ever wetsands after the last coat of clear is applied.....The look on his face told the entire story.... My dad will drive it up here maybe this year and I will airsand the front of the car to reduce the OP.

Then his 06 towncar. B-I-L works at a Ford dealer in the area, so he could not pass up the deal on this one.

Sam process as above. I also did the leather on this one with Z9 and Z10. Sorry no interior pics.
