cleaning sun visors

The mirror in the passenger sun visor on my truck came loose, I guess the adhesive gave out for some reason, i tried to fix it myself but couldn't get it to look right. In order to fix the problem I bought a sun visor off of ebay, the problem is it is kind of dirty. I was wondering if there are any special methods to cleaning a sun visor, I want it to be clean but I don't want this one to break too. I would recommend using a very soft bristle brush and your favorite brand of foam upholstery cleaner. Just spray a little foam cleaner onto the brush (not the fabric) and gently work it into the surface. Blot dry with a cotton towel. Repeat the process until all areas have become clean. Allow to thoroughly air dry.
