Cleaning Regimen

I recently purchased a new vehicle (04 Acura TL) and decided to purchase the line of Zaino products. I went through the process as instructed (wash, clay and applied two coats of Z2 with the accelarator added to it, Z6, etc.,). I'm quite pleased with the outcome. The vehicle does have a certain slickness and shine to it. I would like to go one step further and add sometype of wax on top of it. I narrowed my choice to M #26. What outcome should I expect applying #26 on top of Zaino? Should I go even further and apply something on top of the M #26? I guess I'm looking for an outcome that gives me the best of everything (i.e shine, depth perception and protection). Any suggestions are appreciated?

I'm not a Z users but there are people here with experience of this product. Suggest you try Search meanwhile and see if that will answer you questions.

Topping Zaino with a carnauba wax seems to be a recent phenomena. The only reason to do it is for looks. There are no performance improvements. Zaino is far more durable than any wax and is more reflective (shiny). A wax will refract light somewhat and add a colored tinge due to the high oil content.

Personally I don't recommend topping Zaino with a wax as you negate most of its benefits. But people do it anyway so if you're curious, give it a shot.

Meg's #26 is a "final step" product. There is no reason to top it with anything else.

I'm with bretfraz here. I use only Zaino on the olde white Jag. Have tried topping it with the current favorite, S100/P21s. The wax really didn't add anything that I could discern. But ... try if you want/need to. And let us know what you perceive.

BTW, some of this depends on the color of your car. Folks with dark-colored cars seem (IIRC) to benefit from topping Z than folks with light-colored cars. Lots of us put our car make/model/car in our sig line. You might want to do that.

I topped Zaino on my black B5.5 with #26 and it added a little warmth and depth , and killed just a little of the plastic look. I tried Glanz on it but liked the #26 better.
