Cleaning Regime

Can I ask for comments on my weekly cleaning regime please?

This does not include any polishes, waxes or sealants. It's just keep the cars clean....

Step 1 - Quick low pressure jet wash to gentle remove any dirt which is going to come off easily

Step 2 - High pressure jet wash on underside and wheel wells

Step 3 - Wash car using two bucket method (Megs GC Shampoo and MF mitt)

Step 4 - Rinse car with water trying to let water sheet off

Step 5 - Aquablade as much water off as possible without getting too picky

Step 6 - Use MF cloth and PB S&G over whole car to remove any water and enhance whatever was on their already

This process takes 45 mins for the Land Cruiser and 35 for the Supra.

How does this sound? Anything I'm clearly doing wrong or could do better?

If you weren't on the other side of "the pond," I would pay you to stop by my house every Friday afternoon. I'd leave my car in the driveway for you!

For me the key thing is efficiency. I want to be able to clean the cars as quickly as possible without causing any damage to the paint.

I'm also trying to organise the garage in such a way as to allow me to avoid wasting any time finding things. So the hose is laid out on the floor ready to be used. Stuff like that.

I suppose the other factor is that I secretly harbour a pipe-dream about detailing cars for a living and I can't see me making any money at all if it takes 2 1/2 hours just to clean a car. I use my two cars as a test-bed for getting the most efficient methods possible.

Slowly I'm getting all the right tools and products for the job and with the right stuff it becomes easier to do a good job.

You might consider redundant systems for each side of the car. My washes go a lot faster now that I have hoses/buckets/foamgun on each side of the washbay. Ditto for floorjacks/stands to raise them up enough to do the wheelwells/undercarriage better. Having two of everything works great for me.
