What are some good methods to clean a dirty, sandy truck bed?
Cleaning pickup truck beds???

Drop the tail gate, stand in the back with a hose and start spraying away. 
That seems to be the easiest way to do it. I've cleaned out a truck bed or two in my day and that's the only way I've ever done it. Its a lot easier than turning the truck upside down and shaking the dirt out. :lol

If you take Jngrbrdman's advice your pickup bed will look like this:
