Cleaning Pads?

What is best way to clean pads without using one of the special cleaing packets? Do they have to be cleaned after every use?

Wool or synthetic wool use a spurring pad a few times during use.

Foam-as it dries, use a brush and hold it to the pad as you turn it on. The dry product will flake right off leaving you a clean pad. Make sure the bristles are not too aggresive...don't want to take off the foam. You should do this a couple of times during use as too much build up of product will cause the pad to grab while polishing and may cause swirls from the product build up.

What I have recently been doing lately is taking the pads and letting them soak in a bucket full of hot water and laundry detergent.

If they are decently dirty, I pour the laundry detergent straight onto the pad and work it in before letting it soak in the bucket. The pads turn out looking like new.

I try and clean them after every use, I'm not sure what most autopians prefer though. You could spurr the pads after use like WCD said and fully wash them every once in a while. I don't have a spurr so I wouldn't know how clean they make them.
