What method do you guys use for cleaning inside door jambs and the rocker panels. For example my truck where it has been in a little bit of mud (oops):nono has some pretty bad filth on the rocker panels when you open the door's, so it is actually on the inside. Door jambs are just dusty but didn't really know best way of going about cleaning since it is still paint. Thx.

Take your wash mit and with some soap on it, wash your jams out. take your hose and with little water pressure, rince them out. thats it:eek: then dry them out...:goodjob

Spray some degreaser (I use auto magics red hot) on the hinges, and pressure wash it out, then use the mitt on everything else. Be carfull not to soak the interior though.

I just use some APC and a microfiber to wipe em down - even when there's a large amount of gunk built up, I've never had trouble getting it off. After that, dress the jamb so it doesn't get dirty as easily (I use DG Aquawax for this).

Once they've been clean/polished/waxed, I clean doorjambs with the little BHBs from Griot's (pn 015520) and my regular wash solution. I rinse by leaving the doors slightly ajar when spraying with the hose and a little QD when I dry takes care of any residual shampoo. It's pretty easy to keep things nice after you do the initial cleanup.

Don't overlook the polishing before you wax- smoothing the surface of the paint will help keep dirt/etc. from adhering and building up.
