Cleaning couplings...

I recently purchased an aftermarket intake. The couplings are blue in color and rather dirty. Is there anyway to clean these off to make them look new(er) without replacing them? I don't really want to pay to get new ones. I was thinking maybe a Mr Clean Eraser, or some degreaser of some sorts? But I don't want to stain them, or damage them....

Any suggestions?

any idea what they are made from?

Technically... no. But I would assume from some hightemp rubber or silicone, as most are made from that.

They are dirty / greasy. Also the pervious owner was a doush and had it installed wrong so it rubbed against the valve cover and has some black mark transfer from that as well on one of the couplings. There are 3 couplings total.

Yeah, most of those couplings are made from silicone. As far as what to clean them off with, I'm not entirely sure. APC might be your best bet for cleaning them off without damaging the silicone.

I would try washing them with dish soap (dawn) first, before I put any really strong cleaners on them. If that does not work I would try some simple green.
