Cleaned up Yvette *lots of pics*

Way2SSlow

~werd to yo mutha~
As much as I hate to admit it, Yvette doesn't belong to me. She belongs to a close family friend. I have been wanting to clean her up again for a long time, but I don't get to see her very much. She's a 2000 Vette with just a hair under 15K miles on her. She's definitely a fair weather car, but I love to take her around the block when I am allowed. Anyway, as you can imagine, she isnt in rough shape as she has such low mileage and is queen of the garage.

Here's what I did:
Wash (Megs GC)
Clay (clay magic)
SSR2.5 with a light cut pad
SSR1 with a polishing pad
EX-P with a finishing pad
Natty's with an Adam's MF applicator

I used VRT everywhere it belongs (trim, dash, tires etc.) and Adam's Leather conditioner on the leather. I also used In&Out on all the black trim (located in the front bumper...where the holes are, and also on the trim inside the holes near the trim molding on the doors) and in the wheel wells. I know better than to post pics of a car without cleaning the wells on this forum. Mats got Adam's carpet cleaner and then I used my LGCM to finish them up.

For anyone who might be interested, Yvette has a K&N intake, BBK 80mm throttle body, Custom tune, Granetelli MAF, and Corsa daytona rear sections.

Sweet! Looks like the red turned out very well from the sun. You used a MF for Natty's? How'd that work? YOu might not want to use the In & Out on the wheels since it cost alot to refill and your spraying alot.

Nice Detail! I'm in the Atlanta area too...Is there any more people here at DC that are in the Atlanta area?

Looks great. I love the look of the Vrt on that dash.. its my new go to.. well all of the adams are my new go to. Great job!

Thanks a lot guys.

Woob,

I usually use a foam applicator for Natty's, but for some reason I grabbed the MF applicator (probably meant to grab a foam and grabbed that and went to town before I realized :dunno ) and decided to try it. I like it ok. It's a little easier to spread with the foam applicator, but I really like the way the mf one fit in my hand. I didnt use In&Out on the tires, I used it on the wheel wells, because ya cant really reach in there and clean them, but they are black plastic, and they definitely have to be dressed.

mjr,

There are quite a few Atlantans on here. I've hung out with Nick (from Adams) a few times, and Lee (Silver Lexus) is organizing an Atlanta get together here pretty soon.

Whoops, I meant WheelWells :D Cool. You can use VRT on the wheelwells actually. Red. Might just try that combo one day.

I better mention that Way2SSlow (in the background of the 4th pic) is shiny thanks to the wash it was given (the day before) by none other than Adam's polishes and Detail City's own Nick Carberry. :mohawk

Had to get that up here before he sees this thread. :D

Wade, all I did was wash it because I had the stuff out already. I did the rotary work back in January and you just finished it off again a few weeks ago, so it was all your work before hand, not a silly wash :lmfao The SS looks sweet bro; long and sleek.

Props on the red Vette dude :bigups
