I feel like I've really learned a lot here, so I figured I'd "show off" the results. This car has (so far) been touched by Meguiars only... I'm happy with my latest combo of products, so I think I'll stick with them for now.



The car got the works last week, and this is the first wash after.

It is. I'd love to work on the performance a bit, such as aftermarket exhaust, cold air induction, etc. But, I promised my hubby I'd save the performance mods for the Impala SS due out next summer. I love the 3.8 S/C engine... and being a Buick, I just have to laugh at the local ricers. This is definately not your grandfather's Buick. ;)



Now a Grand National... THAT would be a fun car to drive. :)
 
I see a lot of those supercharged GS's in performance magazines. they run them at the track too and they run low 13's which is good for a car like that.
 
I'm not really a gearhead, but from what I understand, since these cars are essentially the same as the Grand Prix GTP, most mods for the GTP will also work for the GS. About the only mod I've done (heh) is swap out the stock air filter for a K&N, and it made a noticeable difference. It's a cheap, easy mod that I can recommend to anybody! I'll be saving my mod-money for the Impala SS, due out as an '04 model. (Had an '00 Impala 3.8L N/A, rolled it, walked away. Husband and I both like the size and "feel" of the new Impala, but the performance of the GS... ) I'll also be saving up for higher end detailing supplies for that baby, too. I'm too into Meguiars with this one. Need to use up what I have! ;)



Oh, and thanks BlackRegal.. after seeing the pictures of your Regal, I felt almost embarrassed to put mine up here. The car still isn't perfect, and I can see the blemishes in the finish. :) Although, had a compliment the other day! Saw the sales person that sold us the Buick, and he said that mine looks better than the cars they have in the lot, and they're a Benz dealership, too! Talk about an ego boost! :D
