Noting that I sure don't keep my Cyclos well-detailed, I just spritz them with #34 and wipe off any product residue. I use a toothbrush to scrub as needed, but I don't use a metal polish or anything like that. The #34 softens any product residue well enough that I can scrub it off.
My old one probably looked pretty awful when ScottWax used it (I did consider cleaning it up before he saw it, but nah...) but it still *worked* fine and that's all I really care about.
I have never done anything to my Cyclo, I just feel it's a tool and I don't care what it looks like as long as it works well. But maybe I get inspired one day and use some metal polish on it
