Claying glass question

I am planning to clay the glass (including a sunroof) on my vehicles. What lube should I use with the clay? I will be using Mother's and/or Blue magic OTC clays. I think the QD that came with them would leave a residue. Should I just wash it off after I finish?



I have not seen any info on claying glass recently, but it sounded like a good idea to me when I read about it a while back! Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Just use lube like you normally would, or mix up some car wash and water as lube.



Glass is much harder (not impossible, though) to scratch than paint.

I just clayed my sunroof with Maguires clay (white bar) using Zaino car wash diluted 1capful to a qt. sprayer. All the water spots are gone.

Mother's California Gold sure does leave a mess behind when leaved as a claylube

I like to dilute my QD's 4:1 with 4 water to 1 QD ratio.



Or just use car wash soapy water.

I used carwash soap/water mixture, but the claybars don't last very long...
