Jul 17, 2018 #2 M Mike lambert New member It may remove some, however you run the risk of rubbing those particles on your paint. So it really is best to do the iron remover first if you can.

Jul 17, 2018 #3 tom p. Active member Yeah, and the clay can simply shave off the exposed part of the iron particle leaving most of it embedded in the surface. I`m finding thorough removal more difficult than I`d hope for.

Jul 17, 2018 #4 G grungy Active member +1 above What Mike says is the proper method to reduce induced marring. Also, don`t let the iron remover dry while it is setting on paint.
