Claybar Problems

Hey guys and thank you for looking. Now Ive always used claybar without any problems but the last two cars Ive ran into problems. Now IVe been using mothers claybar for a few years and everytime I run out of the wax in the bottle they supply I would use Eagle. Well Ive noticed that it leaves blotches all over the car and only comes out with the buffer. It tends to stick way more to the paint and is not easy to use. Any idea what the problem is ?? Lie IVe said I also tried NXT spray and the same problem occured.

Thanks

You should not be using the wax in the package you should be using the detailing spray they supply do not use wax with clay.

You can also use soapy water, I used NXT wash a few times. Its important to keep the car as cool and wet as possible to avoid the clay bar sticking.

Yeah seriously, five seconds reading the directions woulda saved you alot of trouble. I'm sorry, but was I the only one who gave a little laugh when reading this original post?

No I gave a little laugh too. But in no way a disrespectful laugh, weve all been there. i remember being overwhelmed with techniques, products, etc....

Jeez, I remember years ago watching the megs videos on their website and Barry was talking about using only 100% terry towels. So I drove to walmart and picked up the roll of 100% terry cotton towels for like 4 bucks thinking I was the MAN. well, you can imagine the results after putting those towels on the paint!

Moral: Weve all been there man, no worries, just next time take a few moments to read the manufacturers instructions, it may save you a boat load of time and grief!
