anyone have luck buying just the bar at auto parts stores ?? i hate to keep buying the megs kit when i can just buy the bar

anyone suggest a good plastic polish, one of my headlights is getting kinda yellow :nixweiss

oops - I don't think you can get the clay magic clay alone.

Try to search for body shop suppliers or lacquer suppliers.

As far as plastics the guy that wrote all the stuff from the learn Icons swears by using plexus for everything plastic on your car but I think you have to order it.

There are only two clay manufacturers in the USA (I'd like to say world). Pretty much all clay on the market is re-branded to the name of the company selling it. Whichever bar you pick up should be ok.

Bill.

Just incase anyone is interested, Auto Magic emailed me a local Auto Magic distributor in the NY area, they are in Westchester -

anyone have experience with the top of the line clay ?? 8oz bar for 15.95 :D

That's a 226.8g bar. The Autopia bars are $6 each if you buy 3, so the price difference is too small to even matter. But yeah, that's one bigass clay bar...maybe I'll try it with my next order from them, even though I have a few Autopia bars and a clay magic bar in my closet.

Go to a body shop supply store and get the 200 grm 3M clay bar. It comes with just the clay and it is exactly the same as the blue Clay Magic Bar. I have used both.

I bought a couple of those bars because they are so cheap and I think I like the clay magic better. They are very very soft and actually stick to your hand. They are very easy to fold over and seem to work reasonable well (I removed some road paint from a honda the other day) but I really don't like how it sticks to your hands, can take days to get it off completely.

thanks for the heads up :xyxthumbs

i can not find a body shop supply store around here. i have done searches and have come up with nothing. :(

Go to the meguiars website and do a search for distributors and most of them will be body shop supply stores.

been there and done that. i have called all the numbers and when i ask about clay they either do not carry it or do not know what i am talking about. i work at a dealer and we deal with certain body shops, i think i will just ask them who they deal with
