Clayed my brand new 2005 white Avalanche this morining in preperation for polish and lsp. Man it was unbelievable the difference it made in not only how smooth the paint is but also the look. I couldnt believe how much contamination was in the paint, I wish I had taken before and after pics. So I guess the message for those new to detailing, don't underestimate the power of clay in the process of properly prepping your paint.

Yeah. I told a friend to give clay a try. He thought I was nuts. About 3 weeks later I saw him again and he said, "I clayed my car and I can't believe the difference it made!" Clay still seems to be an enigma among the general public. I think people see it at O'Reilly and such and wonder what the hell it's for.
