Clay, Paint Lotion, Klasse?

Spring is here and man, do I need to do my VW Golf. I want to follow the easiest path I can to prep, lose swirl marks and protect it. How would this be?:



Wash (normal stuff or Dawn to get Klasse off?), Pinnacle Paint Cleansing Lotion, clay (is Mother's good?), Klasse two-step process, Meguire's no. 26 liquid.



I've been off this board for a long time. Is there more consensus about Blackfire or anything new?

Unless you have very light swirls you are going to need something stronger than PPCL and AIO.



3M SMR works pretty well on light/medium swirls.



Mothers clay works quite well, I found that I needed to soak it in hot water for a little while to soften it up. Out of the box it was pretty tough and hard to work with.



I have not tried blackfire yet, but from what I read it looks great but has questionable durability.

wouldn't it make more sense to do swirl removal AFTER claying to catch any marring that claying may leave behind?
