clay lubricant replacement

Ran out of the clay magic lubricant. Could i just mix up car soap + water?

Yes you can use a small amount of water mixed with a car shampoo...Or if you've got ONR dilute that as a great clay lube as well.

Some clays work fine with a shampoo/water mix for lube but others tend to dissolve. Still, it's something you can do until you get more lube (if you find that you need to, you might do fine with just the shampoo mix). Most QDs will work too, with the same caveat.

As Accumulator said, a quick detailer will work. I like using PB S&W or ONR for my clay lube.
