Clay isn't enough, what are my options?

I was claying my grandpa's car as he told me he has overspray all over his car from parking outside of someone's house. I proceeded to clay with Opti Clay and it took most of the overspray off. I'm wondering what else can I do? Should I resort to Finish Kare's decomtamination kit? Or maybe a different clay?

A moderate abrasive polish like SSR2/2.5 should make short work of it.

I was thinking that, but went to Color X thinking cause its an all in one kinda product it would've taken care of it, but there are some of those little buggers left.

you could try AutoMagics Aggressive Clay (Red) or as stated an abrasive to remove the overspray. Is the os paint, stucco, or other?

I believe the paint is single stage as when I used Color X on a foam pad by hand, the pad turned black after awhile.

No, pssstue was asking what the overspray is on the car, whether it is paint, stucco, or other.

I'm guessing its paint since he said they were painting the outside of someone's house.

SSR2.5 should get rid of it. I just did my friend's black Silverado which had some overspray. The clay got 90%, the SSR got the last 10.

I think you are going to find the Red AM Clay helpful. I am not familiar with the results you will get from the different contamination systems on the market so I can't help you there. The paint should be soft enough for the red clay to pull it off. You will have some residual OS on the surface (as you may already have) that the 2/2.5/DACP/IP/yadayada will clean up. A petro-distilate-heavy cleaner wax like Moose Wax would make quick work of the OS on the rubber trim if the vehicle has any. Plastic Razor blades can be used with care on any stubborn spots as well.

I have had OS jobs that took me one step/25 minutes more than a typical detail and a challenging experience with another... four hours on an emerald Accord coupe. The carport neighbor decided to prime his E36 two stalls away. I should have sanded it but it already had CC failure on the roof and didn't want to push it's limits.

HTH.

I would recommend the SSR2.5 over the decon for overspray removal. I was less than pleased with FK1's decon system. I think it would be quicker to just use the 2.5.
