Clay Bar Question

Is there anywhere you can buy just the clay without the lube, all i see are these 15$ "kits" if you will, and all I need is the clay.



Anywhere? Preferable a place that accepts money order. :D

Lots of places have clay magic bars without the lube. However, I've found that it is cheaper per oz to just go to Pep Boys and get the Clay Magic and lube. I usually wait to it is on sale, and then stock up.



Anyway, the autopia-carcare website has the claymagic and lube for < $10.00.
 
Most of the on-line vendors sell clay w/o the lube, but I have no idea about the money order question. I would think you could ask them (e-mail) and they would have no problem accepting an order through the mail. Most of the clay âہ“onlyâ€Â� bars will run as much as the local kits youâ€â„¢re finding, but the bars are usually larger.

I disagree. If you get the Clay Magic kit, it comes with a 100 MG bar and lube for $9.95. If you get just the clay, it winds up costing between $8 and $9 for a 100 MG bar. So, you are essentially paying $1 for the lube. The lube is not all that useful, but it is worth more than $1.

Kind of depends on what brand and type (plastic/elastic) clay youâ€â„¢re looking for. Itâ€â„¢s hard to beat the price and local availability of Clay Magic, but there are some who donâ€â„¢t care for it. And Iâ€â„¢ll agree the lube is worth more than $1.00, but only if youâ€â„¢re going to use it. Iâ€â„¢ve got enough unused clay lube that another bottle wouldnâ€â„¢t really be worth a $1.00 for me personally. If I get hit by the âہ“big beer truckâ€Â� while crossing the street, I can just see folks picking through the bottles of lube my wife will have priced at 5 cents in the garage sale ;)
