Clay bar on lips?

Hello everyone :)
Need some help with lip cleaning.
I have aftermarket rims with non-clearcoated polished lips.
Is it ok to use clay bars to clean?

Thank you.

Derek.

PS : I was using P21S Finish-Restorer today (first time use), and transparent liquid (not water) came out the tube. Is this a bad sign? Should I replace it with a new one?

It won't clean the rims, but it will pull contamination out just like on paint. There are better ways to go about cleaning your wheels, but I'll use old used up clay on wheels when I really want them smooth and shiney. I use wheel cleaner to get them as clean as they can get otherwise first and then use the clay next. I wouldn't suggest using clay on dirty wheels. Clay doesn't replace wheel cleaner.

There are some tough contamination that just won't go away.
What method would you recommend?
