Clay-Bar and Auto Glass

I took delivery of a new 525i last week and quickly took it to my local shop to have a clear hood protector applied and the windows tinted to 35%. The shop did a great job, but pointed out that the BMW had some spots in the glass that were there before the tinting process. Indeed, I had noticed them, and was concerned, and now with the windows darker they were really noticeable.

I searched this site and found the Clay- Bar on Glass suggestion. I had never thought of doing that. It worked:D What appeared to be either a glass flaw or something drastically wrong with the glass was completely cleared-up:) by the claying process.

What a gret suggestion- Thanks:xyxthumbs

The paint and windows are always clayed, it makes a big difference. Cheap window cleaner can't always remove everything and after the windows are clayed the glass clean goes on and comes off so easy.

Glad to hear your success story, HUMNBMR. Don't know what sealant/glaze system you use. But if you use Zaino, be sure and Z2 your windows now that you've clayed them. It'll make 'em look like crystal. :up
