Classifieds questions

I was lookin' at the classified adds and it only showed two ads, however; if you look at an ad at the bottom of the ad there is a "view next ad" button. If you click on it it takes you to another ad, keep doing this and you can view about 6-8 ads-but- the classified main page only list two ads. How come???????

Looks like a bunch of older ads are still there.
Most of the dates were from quite a while back.
If the system is supposed to be automatic, it isn't working.
If the classified section is manually updated, it hasn't been.
Interesting, I had never really looked at the classifeds.

My vote is in for an actual Classifieds forum, that way you can discuss things a bit better, and visibility is better.
 
I never looked at the dates to see how old the ads are. So the ads that show up on the main page are the only current ads?

Yeah something like that would be kool . The only problem would be spammers but we know what happens to spammers here.:beat

It is up for the original poster of the classifieds to delete any old ads.
Otherwise they don't show up on the front page but are still available to view.

Only the current ads that haven't expired show up onb the homepage.
