Classic Motoring Accessories

I recently ordered and received a fairly large purchase of detailing supplies from Classic Motoring Accessories. I just wanted to express my satisfaction, since most often it is the unhappy customers who talk the loudest.

All products were exactly as described, the box was well and safely packed, and the shipment arrived promptly.

My only regrest is that I did not know about the Autopia member 10% discount at the time I placed my order, so I spent too much! :(

My order was held up because they were out of one product which was not listed on their web page, you could say I wasn't the happiest guy around but the shipment arrived just two days or so later than expected and they doubled my order size. I was still pissed but with customer service like that you have to forgive them. I'd buy from CMA over and over, it's good to expect customer service. Sounds stupid, it should be an industry standard but it's not so when you find a good thing stick with it.

Alot of people here praise CMA more than bash. Just don't buy the Porter Cable from them, it's wicked expensive compared to other stores ......... Sorry CMA ;)

I'd like CMA's large variety of stock and their fast shipping. All four orders I've had with them have shipped the day after I placed the order. I just think their shipping is a little high. You really do need the autopia discount to offset the shipping costs.

Never really noticed that CMA shipping was a little higher. But for the great same day shipping ( which many online companies charge extra ) and not charging membership for this wonderful forum I will pay the difference. I know when I order something from CMA that it will be at my home in 2-3 days max. Great for planning auto detailing activities. :D

I think one reason for the higher than typical shipping charges is the way they pack products. Look closely at how your CMA shipments are packed; new boxes, tightly packed, some products individually wrapped, professional invoices, catalog, etc. There aren't too many mail order merchants spending the time and money it takes to package items like this. How many times have you received orders sent in old boxes with shreaded newspaper just tossed in the box? I've seen more half-assed packing jobs than I ever wanted to.

And dont forget that CMA also sends you an e-mail notification when your order ships, including tracking numbers.

If you have a problem or question, they're are always willing to do whatever it takes to get answers for you. That kind of customer service isn't free.

I buy a ton of stuff online and can't think of too many companies that care about the shipping of their products like CMA does. Even Amazon and Barnes & Noble have slipped in recent years.

Personally, I'd rather give my money to a company that cares about their shipping methods and looks after the little details. If that costs me an extra dollar or two, fine by me.

I know someone on the last discount didn;t do the 10 percent, called them and they adjusted his credit card.....

They are my first site when i need products..(unless its a PC)

JeffBruce... Others... remember what I said about not getting me in trouble with these discounts??? What CMA is that they WILL NOT adjust for orders that already came in prior to the discount, because it costs them manpower to make the adjustment. Instead, they had 10% discount coupons made and will add one to your shipment for your next purchase. Totally fair.
