Classic vehicle that I was recently asked to bring back that "Sparkle".



This gem had a hazed layer of paint and it was raspy to the touch. After inspecting the vehicle I determined that it was light oxidation and paint overspray. I then proceeded to perform an extensive detail to restore its lustre and gloss to the highest level possible....



Back in the day's before the Accord was the 37 Cord.......

A video of a 20+ year auto detailing veteran working on one of the worlds most fantastic cars and you have nothing nicer to post than you got bored.



My mother taught me when I was a child that if I had nothing nice to say don't say anything. It is a shame you weren't taught likewise.



Dave, I am jealous. To be in the presents of the CORD would have been enjoyable but to actually get hands on.............. I envy you. :bow

please check yourself at the door. am i only permitted to post if i have something nice to say? something that you approve? it's a shame that your mother didn't also teach you to respect and tolerate another persons opinion (if you agree or not) without attacking them for how their mother raised them. that is the true shame. this is a "forum" not your "ego boost" platform. :sosad
 
just additional thoughts, I wonder if our modern cars had some of the styling these classics had, it would make detailing more challenging but fun. All those angles, vents, chrome and those grills and that metal tube around the engine looks time consuming.



Must have been challenging. Would definitely require a good detail and not suitable for a normal wash.

Most of todays cars are more plain looking. Some nice one are still being built but but these classics are so impressive.

It's a matter of forum respect to fellow detailers. You don't like it? Cool, no problem, but you don't have to say you got "bored". If you didn't liked it, plain and simply, don't post at all.



Is that a 19x7? Sorry, couldn't see one number, but it's an amazing piece of art!

**Here is some additional information that I researched on the design of this magnificant vehicle....



"The streamline era was starting to show it's effects on automobile styling, as evidenced by this 1937 Cord Convertible. Some consider this car the most beautiful car ever produced. Pontoon fenders are integrated into the body, which itself absorbs the radiator shell and trunk. This car has no running boards, contrary to common practice with mass-produced cars until the 1940's"

read my post. i didn't say that i did not like his work. i simply stated that his video was boring to me without audio. out of respect for my opinion he should have refrained from making a comment on my what my mother taught me - just like you should have refrained from "scolding" me for having an opinion and stating it. take your own advise and if you didn't like my comment, plain and simple, don't post at all. the OP is all grown up, you don't need to stick up for him by "scolding" me or maybe you do. :nixweiss
 
Now that's my kind of car. I love the flex hose exhaust. I never could turn down a chance to see a 30's car like this or a Packard, Duesenberg, Pierce Arrow, or Auburn. Its a real shame these American companies couldn't survive in a market with Chrysler, Ford and GM. Though in this decade GM had some very attractive models from having independent coachbuilders provide the body. I hate to say it, but even Chrysler had beautiful cars in this decade.
 
Without doing the research myself, how rare is a Cord today?

Must have been a real challenge with all those curves and the limited access to the front end with those huge fenders.

So, when you see a "click and brag" you expect audio on it? If it doesn't contain audio, do you get bored too? I think you need to get your comments straight before you call out on anybody, my friend. Just food for thought. And I am not scolding you at all, no need to anyways.

Quick question, I was just in Indiana at the Duesenberg museum north of Fort Wayne, is that where this is at??? I saw a couple of these up there, I don't think I saw this one though (most had lots of surface scratches and all were pretty dusty).



Never mind, just saw your location is California, so probably not :LOLOL



Great job, it looks great, the build of those cars is just so ridiculous!!!!
