Client loved the fact that Opti-Coat Pro comes with a 5 year warranty and wanted to protect his wife's daily. Now the car only had a few thousand miles on it prior to coming into my shop which one would assume, minor paint correction then prepare for coating. In this case, the CLA AMG had what looked like years worth of abuse, swirling, and heavy marring on all panels, especially the gloss black trim. Turns out the owner was using one of those "boars hair" brushes, which apparently aren't all that great. Easy to use, horrible for paint. After booking a few days of correction and coating work, I began to cut into the rock hard clear. The process took a little while to get down but I ultimately decided to stick to the basics, M105 for cut and Opti-Coat primer for final polish. The trim was the worst to get perfect as it took quite a few passes of polish to remove much of the micro-marring caused by the heavy cut to remove the deep scratches.
And there you have it! Took hours to finally get perfect, especially the gloss black trim. After the entire paint correction process was completed, I moved on to coating everything in 2 even coats of Opti-Coat Pro.
