Chrome Wheel

A more upclose pic would help...

however, scratches in chrome can not be "polished" out.... the only real way to get they out is to replate the wheel...

You can clean the paint/etc. off of the scratches to make them less noticeable...

good luck..

I don't have the wheels but I'm considering buying them tomorrow. I'm kinda hoping that the flash is exacerbating the problem and maybe they won't look that bad when actually mounted on the car. This one is the worst. The rest look pretty nice. The best deal I've found on these wheels is $1100. These are $600. Would a finish polish like 106ff and a white pad help or would I be causing irrepairable damage? Otherwise, I could maybe try metal polish and a power ball mini.

Any thoughts?

I bought myself chrome 19 oem infiniti coupe rims and they has nasty waterspots. Got it all out with chrome polish and powerball and the powerball mini.

At the level of OCD that we function at, I do not believe you can polish out enough to match the other 3 wheels or penetrate/thin the chrome plating IMHO.:(

Hopefully, the picture has augmented the "real" amount of damage and it is not as bad as pictured.:nervous2:

Also make sure the wheel in question is not warped even if the blemishes can be corrected.

ptaylor_9849- While I suspect you won't like hearing this, I'd pass on those wheels, wouldn't take 'em as a gift for my winter beater. I'd bet most anything that they'll look even worse in person, at least when you mount them on *your* vehicle.

Wait until you find some wheels that aren't trashed. And I'd never buy chrome wheels that aren't guaranteed perfect (marring in chrome really is forever).
