Rotary Speed Calibration

According to Vector's (Identical to the Chicago Electric except for color) technical people, each whole number speed indicator increases RPM by 400.

1= 1000, 6= 3000. Each of the five numbers (2 through 6) increases RPM by 400. Five numbers; 2000 RPM difference; ergo 400 RPM per each of the five.

Are you sure because at properautocare.com they sell the Vector rotary and state on their website that the Vector technical support people told them that each number is approximately 500 rpms.
