Some quick shots of a Friend's Cobalt I did an interior thorough clean, exterior wash and One-Step on. Didn't take too many shots cause i was racing against the upcoming rain and it still caught me mid-interior detail(had to finish interior with all doors closed,AC running while pouring outside.

PC 7424 Speed 5-6
Orange LC Pad
Megs D151

Headlights were polished briefly, restored some clarity without having to wet sand /compound/polish. Main reason for this post is to share what happened a week(last night) after i worked on this car.

Bad flooding and storm last night here in Houston, thankfully no one was inside the vehicle. The D151 wax is still in full effect against water:rockon.... but not against Light Poles. In all seriousness, huge bummer , my friend told me the first thing she joked to her BF about(his car) was the whole "we just got it detailed a week ago" after their shock wore off from finding their car like this while leaving work.

Oh man, is this where I say "that'll buff right out"?

What is it with the Cobalts and the missing antenna in the rear fender? I just saw one a day or two ago like that--does that hole not go into the trunk?

haha NO IDEA, when i was washing it i kept seeing it and thinking" where the hell is the water going when it goes in there, she should really get this patched up or something" . Their trunk brake light was all messed up and half way unattached as well!

This car was very beat up, interior center console was disgusting and arm rest had all kinds of grime and body oils/grease caked on it. They were very happy with it, said it looked much better than when they first got it and it had never been as clean. Oh well, i told her to let me know once she gets another car i'll get them taken care of.

How did you clean out the trunk hinge area?
Rinse with low pressure water hose to avoid getting water in trunk, Megs APC diluted 10:1 sprayed on and let dwell for a minute, then used a brush to agitate all the dirt off while spraying with water from a spray bottle to rinse as I cleaned. It's easy, having different sizes and shapes brushes is always helpful.

Ouch! Car can be replaced. Your friends could not be. Glad they are ok. Had a similar story with a sick black 03 Cobra. I spent a good part of a day at a customers house detailing it before it was to get loaded on a truck a couple days later for sale. After doing the final wipe down outside the customer jumped in to pull it back in the garage. Needless to say his foot slipped off the clutch and he bumped a piece of furniture with the front bumper and put a hole in it. Not sure who was more pissed. LOL

What a shame (nice work btw). On the one hand, it's good no one was hurt ... on the other hand, it's a shame it was wrecked right after it was worth driving again!

Thanks, and it is definitely a shame cause i even did this for free which made it more exciting for them. More shots after the rain cleared up ( and as of this morning it's freaking flooding again here, can't go to work yet as i'm on flood watch with my buckets and wet vac at Home).

Well, at least the dent in the hood is less noticeable now. Glad everyone is OK.

Well you did some really nice work on it. No offense to your friends but I wish my cobalt could get destroyed like that (without anyone in it of course) it is such a crappy car. My wife bought it before we got together and now I am driving that daily and her driving the new car. But I'd rather her and my daughter be in a safer car.

Yeah theirs ran pretty crappy ( my 1998 Corolla starts and runs better ) , hopefully they'll manage to get something better. No offense taken.
