Ok so I'm pretty new to the whole detailing world and I'm assuming a very important part of your success is in the chemicals/solutions/dressing you pick. I saw a lot of people getting their stuff from Chemical Guys so I thought I'd hit up there sight. Man! I'm like a kid in a candy store that has no idea what to get! Do you suggest that I pick some products and give them a try, then pick some more and just do it trial and error to find what I like? Or should I go with what the majority use? Oh and this is very dangerous to my wallet which is already suffering from paying $4.89 today for gas. Gotta love Southern Cali!

Hi!

Having done this for a good few yrs the pointers i can give you aree....! Things like QD and shampoo you will probably get through alot of. CG's sell quite a few good ones so i would purchase these in gallons.

EZ glaze and sealants i would say buy in 16OZ (assuming its all for personal use?) b/c you wont need to apply them all that often. More so, every few months a "must have" product comes along and then you will want that. Theres nothing worse then having bought a gallon of Mseal or Jetseal when you want to get something new!

CGs have some nice waxes and again i wouldent go buy 4 cans at discounts (if that offer is still on). Just pick up one and see how it pans out.

Do buy plenty of MF's and foam applicators.
