Chemical guys Hybrid V7

I'll be needing more quick detailed fairly soon and was researching products. I've recently added QD to my wash routine- just gives a better gloss without streaking or spots. I want a product that'll double as clay lube, work well as a drying aid and as a wax booster. Also want something that will work well for spot cleaning, since I'll be coating my car soon.

so, with all that in mind is Hybrid V7 a good product? Anything else you mig recommend?

I really like V7, but I only use it as a QD. I use CG Time to Dry as my drying aid and Pinnacle Clay lube. I would not use V7 as a cleaning aid as I do not believe it has any cleaning ability. V7 gives an awesome shine and smells good and that is all I would use it for.

I use V7 as my primary QD and as a drying aid. I have never used it as a clay lube or a cleaner. I really like the gloss, ease of use and the smell. If you are looking for something with stronger cleaning ability, UWWP as mentioned above would be a good choice.

I remember all the hype when V7 first came out. It's a decent spray wax but I won't be getting more when my bottle runs out. I feel there are better ones out there.

It's good. But I think just the lack of durability and uses lead people to want to use separate products. I like v7 as a qd minor spray sealant and door jams. But I think most people just went to a waterless wash plus sealant or coating. I've kind of gone that way now.

V7,
Positives: Looks great, leaves a very slick feeling finish, Smells great to me (orange crush)
Cons: Not much longevity, Doesn't bead well (may work better over a sheeting wax or sealant) also seemed to drastically lower the beading of the underlying product,

Used V7 on several cars and finishes.
Works OK. Smells great, like an Orange Pushup. Wipes on easy, wipes off easy. Pretty slick finish. Did I mention it smells great?
Doesn't last long, doesn't bead that well, even decreases the beading capability of the product below it.

Overall, it's OK, but there is better out there. I probably will never buy it again.

the beading bit is interesting. Oddly enough, they say beading isn't necessarily the best thing in terms of perfect protection. So just from a theoretical standpoint I can't help but wonder if it's really such a bad thing

Lol. Why start a thread if you already decided?

I was open to input. Nothing in this thread talked me out of using it. And if you paid any attention, I ordered the ultima WW, too. Just in case facts actually matter to anyone.

I've used CG P40 and V7 when I ran out I started using my Ultima Waterless Wash + as; clay lube, quick detailer, drying aid, and Waterless Wash. At first I didn't like Ultima Waterless Wash + but after watering it down a bit more I find much less streaking and it still works great!

My next purchase once I run out will be one of the following; IUDJ, FK-QD, BP-QD.
