Chemical Guys Glassworkz Glass Cleaner

Hey everyone,

So I ordered some of the new glass cleaner from chemical guys. I've always been using invisible glass from Stoners and Rainx since it was easy to find and fairly cost effective. After doing some quick research I found this product has no ammonia (same as all other automotive glass cleaners) but it also has no alcohol! Figured with working in a garage cleaning glass fairly often (quick and easy) might as well give it a shot.

Dilution (5/5): They recommend anywhere from 4:1, since I like to save a bit of money I went 4:1 and that is plenty strong enough. I used filtered water to help avoid any water spots!

Cleaning ability (4/5): It isn't anything fancy, cleans just as well as invisible glass from stoners. Let it soak on the bugs and water spots for a few seconds and wipe off, doesn't require much scrubbing. I keep my glass fairly clean and usually coated so cleaning the glass isn't the hardest thing for me.

Streaks (4/5): It says it's streak free and unless it's under a street lamp at night you won't see any. To avoid even those I usually follow cleaning with a low to medium pile mf towel that's only been sprayed once with the cleaner to buff the class, this avoids any streaks.

Smell (5/5): Smells a bit fruity. They say it's pomegranate but I am not sure I agree with that. No alcohol smell, but the smell is fairly strong even at a 4:1 dilution ratio.

What you need
- low pile glass mf towel
- low to medium pile mf towel for buffing
- spray bottle to mix the dilution ratio

Conclusion: Would I recommend someone buy this? For the price absolutely, it's a great glass cleaner the same as any other cleaner would but it has a pretty good smell. When you buy it by the gallon and dilute it it's not that expensive. I live in Canada and paid $29.00 Canadian for it. Now when you take 128oz and multiply it by 4 you get 512oz of possible cleaner (remembering the 4:1 dilution ratio). Take your standard 16oz spray bottle and that's 32 bottles of 16oz glass cleaner (ready to use). Then take the price of $29 and divide that by 32 bottles. That's less than 1$ per 16oz bottle for glass cleaner. So comparing that to what I used to pay $6-$10 per bottle, this is a lot cheaper and works just as good!

Thanks for your review. You didn't waste any time in putting one together after joining. Lol

I haven't used this product yet but sounds pretty good.

I have read so many reviews I think it was time I gave back. Also I haven't seen many review on the product even on other forums. Used myself as a guinea pig!
