Chemical Guys "El Gordo" MF Towel???

Hi All,

Has anyone tried the "El Gordo" MF towel at $25 per dozen? Microfiber towel

I was curious to get some feedback. It seems to offer a good balance between a plush mf towel that can also be used to remove sealant. Would be interested in hearing from others who have already tried this towel. I was ready to buy their cheaper mf towel for $16 per dozen (Ultra Fine 100% MICROFIBER TOWELS BLUE 16"x16" (1 Dozen)) but was tempted to go with the El Gordo version

Thanks!

Reminds me I've got to pick up some towels too:) They're both 70/30. I think Chemical Guys has better towels, what kind of sealant are you looking to remove? Sorry I can't speak from personal use.

The description says "finest quality at our textile dept. in Korea". Their own textile dept?

Thanks stiffdogg06 for the relpy, those do seem like nice quality towels. How many towels do yall usually keep on hand? I have 6 and 2 waffle weave drying towels. I also purchased some detergent for them.

\r\n\r\nI just got my order from CG with the El Gordo towels. Aside from being ORANGE, and not the green they pictured, they were only OK towels. They are almost idetical to the Vroom Orange towels from target. Coming out of the dryer, they were indistinguishable from the target towels. Price is better than Target, so not a bad value, but don\'t expect the quality of the silk bordered towels from these.\r\nDAL'

I read some unflattering reviews about microfiber towels from Chemical Guys not really being as plush and heavy as advertised on their website....even their Elite towel.

So I did more searching and am also tempted to buy from Patrick and Excel. Any thoughts on Patrick at Excel and his microfiber towels?

Why? I assume it was not cost related.

1. Cost

2. Closer to me, so faster shipping

3. Smaller business so it more owner on customer relation. Not like CG's/AG where you'll talk to a customer service rep.

4. Quality of the towels for the price

go to microfibertech.com and look at the Elite Microfiber Towels - 12 pack...

also... sign up for their mailing list and get 5% off...

unfortunately.... with any microfiber you get from any company, there are going to be good batches and mediocre/bad batches, as the consistency varies from time to time...

It's kind of like that saying. Risk & Reward.

If you risk on trying something new and don't like it, do you think most people will go back to that vendor for that certain product if there was no reward the first time. I def wouldn't.
