Chemical Guys Detail Spray

I have used both and the Chem Guys DS performed as well as Adams.

Try some, you wont regret it.

Very comparable to Adam's Detail Spray, same scent, same cleaning abilities, but the color is more pink. Also leaves a nice gloss.

Why ya lookin' to switch Zane? Cost-effectiveness?

I only had a 4 oz. sample of Adam's DS, and I don't really feel like buying another $10 bottle of QD...I have plenty of those :)

I’ve used both CG’s Detail Spray/Quick Shine and Extreme Synthetic QD. Both products will quickly restore gloss, shine, and slickness to just about any surface. I think Extreme Synthetic QD is a bit better, because it seemed to add a little protection and make certain colors pop. The only problem I’ve observed is streaking in direct sun light or hot, humid days.

Well now, I used all three CGs QDs and I like them all, LOL The one's I keep on hand are Detail Spray/Quick Shine and the Ext Syn QD.

Ha, I hear ya there. I must have 15 different QD's... kinda silly. I will say that Adam's is hands down the slickest I have used, and it also left the finish the glossiest I've seen from a QD. The next best thing I have is QS, but I'm curious about these CG products as well.

Z6, Quik Shine, and Adam's DS are my top 3 as far as enhancing the finish. Chemical Guys' stuff seems like a worthwhile, cost-conscious addition.

I have generous sample of the CG Pro-Detailer + 1X Carnauba (thanks Truzoom!). I think it's a really nice product. I have only been able to use it as an additive to my QEW wash bucket. You can't really use a QD by itself when it's below freezing outside.

Zane, BlackSunshine, have you tried FK #425? I am curious how it compares to the CG stuff. I've never used anything from CG yet (steep overseas shipping).

Though I like CG’s QD sprays, FK’s 425 takes the cake . . . anti-static, high gloss, slickness, streak-free, and protection.

It's next on my list. I'm curious about it as I have heard from others here on the board that it repels dust better than most QDs. I've got a lot of OTC stuff to use up before I order more.

Edit: I just ordered some :o

You have not used CG's what are you comparing it to.

I'm comparing it to all the other QD's I've used. I stated I had not used CG's QDs but would like to.

Off the top of my head, I have used:

Meg's QD (burgundy bottle, OTC)

Meg's NXT Speed Detailer

Meg's #34*

Meg's Final Touch (or is it last touch?)

Pinnacle Crystal Mist*

Sonus Acrylic Spritz*

Sonus Carnauba Spritz*

Sonus Detail Spritz

Zaino Z6

Zaino Z8*

Mother's Showtime

Automagic's Bodyshine

Wolfgang Detail Spritz

Poorboy's S&G and S&W*(more of a waterless wash)

Clearkote Quik Shine*

Adam's Detail Spray*

UPP UGE

Tropi-Care TC-5

*indicate my favorites, with Adam's at the top. You can buy it in gallons, it is very versatile, very slick, and leaves the finish very glossy, and I cannot make it streak. I have also found it quite easy on my LSP, unlike some of the other gallon size offerings.

I have high hopes for the #425, and would like to try the CG offerings since they're so cost effective. I, like Zane, would be most interested in the one that performed the most like Adam's since it is my favorite.

Oh, and if ya couldn't tell, I really like QD's :getdown
