Chemical Guys Blue Guard 2

I ordered a gallon of this to try on wheel wells and black plastic trim
and mouldings and the black plastic cowl and door weather striping.
It is a silicone based material that has a pleasant odor. I sprayed the
wheel wells and used a sponge paint pad to apply to the cowl and
weather striping around the doors. It leaves a very nice shine and it
drys to touch. It is also very good at lasting through several rains.
I really like this product for the above mentioned use as it last and
goes very far in use of product.

I just got my gallon of blue guard as well from Bob at Danase. I have only used mine on tires, and it works great. I do one pass for black, two passes for bling. It hasn't lasted TOO long on my tires yet, all this rain really eats it up fast. I also have had to drive down some dirt roads to clients houses, which also affects the durability. The longest it has lasted (due to weather) is 5 days or so.

When you mention its 5 day durabilty, do you judge by how long the "gloss" last or how long the actual tire stays black?

I used it on the wheel wells and the cowl and moldings around wheel wells
and black trim around doors and windows. It has lasted at least 2 weeks
or better. The wheel wells were starting to get dirty but after washing were
still black. It has been raining almost everyday for two weeks. I retreated
the wheel wells anyway.

When using it on tires, did it spread well. I'm on the verge of ordering it as I'm looking for a non-waterbased dressing that dries to the touch. Been using Trim Restorer for that purpose but I feel like its too good for tires.

Its hard for me to say anything about the durability, ill have to chime in again in a few weeks i guess.

Thanks! As much as I love the spreadabilty of waterbased dressings as BnB, AA, Mothers FX, ect, I really need something a bit more long lasting especially for these weekend clients that only get to see me every other month seeing as I don't offer wash services, let alone am stationed directly from my home garage on weekends. Buying premium tire gels is out of the question as I have gone away from the premium marketed products and have been using what works, with the exception of sealants, waxes, polishes, and compounds. It would be nice to give them a detail along with tires that can stay black a bit longer than 4-7 days.

I'm confused,i thought AA was the enemy here for tire dressing.
The word enemy is a figure of speech. In noway am i bashing the product.

I got a sample bottle of Eagle One Tire dressing (forget the exact name) last year, and it works very well. Dark, medium to high gloss, and very durable (I'd get over a week even in the rain...).
